Core Methodology
Traditional rating systems often rely solely on win-loss records or crude scoring margins. The Performance vs. Expectation (PvE) algorithm calculates adjusted efficiency vectors for offensive and defensive synergy, correcting for opponent strength, game location, and contextual variance.
- Opponent Quality Adjustment: Performance against elite opponents is weighted proportionately higher than victories over sub-par opposition.
